Aim:
The main stay of the project is to design, mechanize and fabrication of a pneumatic vice to hold and release components easily.
Proposed System:
Here we are going to create a pneumatic vice which has a pneumatic system installed to the vice, it assists the holding and releasing of the component. Pneumatic systems are easy to maintain and service, they are cost effective; they have high accuracy and reduces the cycle time in industries.
Advantages:-
- Idle time of the machine is reduced.
- When compared with the mechanical vices, it consumes less time for clamping and unclamping the job.
- It reduces the manual labor
- Hence, production rate is higher
- Hydro-pneumatic vice having both the advantages of hydraulics and pneumatics
Abstract:
In this project we are using the pneumatic as pressing equipment; this will be useful in many applications. Like bending the metal rods, bearing fixing and pattern making etc… Compressor is need to give the pressure for ON pneumatic.
Here we are using one key, which act as a control switch for pneumatic. Microcontroller always check the key whether it is pressed or not, if the key is pressed, it will give a low pulse to the controller. When the controller receives a low pulse from key, then it ON a pneumatic for gripping the object. When the key is pressed second time, the controller will off the pneumatic. So that the wise will release the object. This process will go repeatedly whenever the key is pressed. These are all done by microcontroller coding. Air compressor is used for ON/OFF the pneumatic, when the compressed air is passed to the pressure control valve; the required pressure is obtained by adjusting its knob. When the air is passed to the flow control valve, the speed of movement of piston (pneumatic) is controlled by adjusting the knob.
