Aim:
The main aim of this project is to design and develop an Automatic pill box according to the disorder.
Introduction:
Our innovative concept addresses the shortcomings of traditional pillboxes in ensuring accurate medication intake for the educational organizations and offices. Utilizing RFID technology, our system automatically provides patients with crucial information for precise prescription adherence. The smart pillbox, equipped with distinct tablets for various ailments, incorporates a user-friendly interface for symptom input and a heartbeat sensor for real-time monitoring. Data is transmitted to the Firebase IoT cloud, activating a servo motor to dispense the appropriate medication. This groundbreaking approach not only simplifies the medication process but also promotes patient self-reliance, proving invaluable for the evolving healthcare needs of the employees , students and individuals with compromised health.
Proposed System:
The proposed system is an intelligent IoT-based medicine dispensing unit that uses three dedicated RFID cards to authenticate and trigger medication routines for morning, afternoon, and night. Each RFID card corresponds to one time-slot, and when the user taps the respective card, the system verifies the schedule and immediately measures the user’s BPM, SpO₂, and body temperature using onboard biomedical sensors. After successful health evaluation, the system automatically opens the corresponding pill compartment using a servo-controlled mechanism. A force sensor placed beneath each compartment detects whether the tablet has been picked up, ensuring reliable confirmation of medication intake. All actions—including user authentication, sensor readings, compartment opened, and pill taken/not taken status—are displayed in real time on the 16×2 LCD for user feedback. Simultaneously, the ESP32 pushes all data to Firebase, creating a continuous cloud-based health and medication adherence log accessible to caregivers or doctors. If the pill is not taken or if abnormal vitals are detected, the system can generate alerts through the cloud. The overall design ensures secure authentication, accurate health monitoring, reliable dispensing, and complete remote tracking of the patient’s medication routine.
