Aim:

Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā  The Mainstay of the project is to develop a sustainable and efficient Arduino-powered solar repellent system that effectively deters wildlife from entering protected areas using motion and sound, while minimizing environmental impact.

Introduction:

Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā  The “Arduino-Powered Solar Animal Repellent System” is an innovative solution designed to protect agricultural fields and gardens from unwanted wildlife intrusions. At the heart of this system is an Arduino Nano, which acts as the central controller, orchestrating various components to effectively deter birds and animals. The system is equipped with a sound sensor capable of detecting high-pitched frequencies, such as those emitted by animals. Upon detection, the Arduino triggers a motor connected to a gear mechanism, which mimics a hand-like motion to scare away intruding animals. Simultaneously, a loud alert sound is emitted through a speaker, enhancing the repellent effect. The motor’s operation is managed by a motor power controller, ensuring smooth and efficient movement. This entire setup is powered by a rechargeable 12V battery, which is sustainably charged using a solar panel, making the system eco-friendly and energy-efficient. Existing System:

Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā  Existing animal repellent systems primarily rely on chemical deterrents, physical barriers, or basic noise devices to protect crops and gardens. Chemical repellents can be harmful to the environment and require frequent reapplication, while physical barriers, such as fences, are often costly and labor-intensive to install. Basic noise devices may lose effectiveness over time as animals become accustomed to the sounds. These methods generally lack adaptability and are not energy-efficient, often requiring constant maintenance or external power sources. Consequently, there’s a need for a more sustainable and effective solution to deter wildlife without harming the environment..

Proposed System:

Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā  The proposed “Arduino-Powered Solar Animal Repellent System” offers a sustainable and effective alternative to traditional wildlife deterrents by integrating modern technology with eco-friendly practices. Central to this system is the Arduino Nano, which intelligently manages the entire process. The system employs a sound sensor to detect high-pitched frequencies, such as animal sounds, triggering a motorized mechanism designed to mimic a hand-like motion that scares away intruding wildlife. This motion, combined with a loud alert sound emitted from a speaker, creates a dual deterrent that is both effective and non-harmful to animals. The motor’s movement is precisely controlled by a motor power controller, ensuring reliability and efficiency.
