Description

Aim:

        The aim of this project is to design and develop an Automated Smart Trolley using Arduino Uno, TFT touch display, and RFID technology to simplify the shopping process by automatically adding or removing products from the cart, displaying the total bill, and generating a UPI payment QR code for quick and cashless checkout.

INTRODUCTION:

          In today’s fast-paced world, shopping in supermarkets often involves long queues and manual billing, which can be time-consuming and inconvenient. To overcome this problem, the Automated Smart Trolley is introduced as an intelligent shopping solution. This system uses an Arduino Uno, a TFT touch display, and an RFID reader to automatically identify and manage products in a shopping cart. Each product is tagged with an RFID card that stores a unique ID. When a customer scans a product’s tag using the trolley’s RFID reader, the item is automatically added to or removed from the cart based on the selected option on the touchscreen. The total bill is displayed on the screen, and upon confirmation, the system generates a UPI payment QR code for instant cashless transactions. This innovation reduces billing time, enhances user convenience, and promotes a seamless smart shopping experience.

PROPOSED SYSTEM:

         The proposed system introduces an Automated Smart Trolley that simplifies and automates the shopping and billing process using Arduino Uno, a TFT touch display, and an RFID reader. Each product in the store is equipped with an RFID tag containing a unique identification code. The trolley is fitted with an RFID reader that detects the tag when a product is scanned. The touch display provides three options — Add, Remove, and Confirm. When a user selects “Add” and scans a product, it is automatically added to the virtual cart, while selecting “Remove” and scanning deletes it. The system continuously updates and displays the list of items and total cost on the screen in real time. Once the user presses “Confirm,” the trolley generates a UPI payment QR code for instant digital payment. This proposed system eliminates manual billing, reduces queue times, and enhances the overall shopping experience by making it faster, smarter, and more convenient.
